About the position

The Head of NEP (Networking Equipment Provider) | Media | Communications is responsible for leading the sales and Industry SME teams within Engineering, Research and Development (ER&D) Services. This role focuses on developing effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability objectives, driving sales performance, and fostering key customer relationships. The position requires collaboration with various departments to enhance sales processes and remove obstacles to success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the sales organization to drive performance and provide day-to-day leadership.
  • Ensure sales forecasts are up to date and reliable.
  • Develop and ensure budget compliance according to company goals and analyze performance and market data for growth opportunities.
  • Drive short- and long-term solution sales strategies for engineering solutions in the NEP Industry.
  • Grow the sales funnel and lead high-profile relationships from qualification to closure.
  • Establish performance standards and monitor sales team efficiency for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and developing the sales team to achieve sales plans.
  • Promote the use of Salesforce and other tools for efficient sales pipeline management.

Requirements

  • 15 years of validated experience in sales leadership with a track record of revenue growth in large accounts.
  • Experience closing multiple $10 million deals and achieving $80 million in annual sales.
  • Background in selling to the Communications, Networking, and Media Technology sectors.
  • Experience with product design or engineering services sales to major accounts like Cisco, Huawei, and NBC Universal.
  • Strong industry alliances and ability to influence C-level communications.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills for building industry partnerships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain sales talent.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills for forecasting and analyzing sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of solutions selling methods and ability to coach the team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital media platforms like YouTube and Roku.
  • Familiarity with sales tools and CRM systems beyond Salesforce.
