About the position

The Head of NEP (Networking Equipment Provider) | Media | Communications is responsible for leading the sales and Industry Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams within Engineering, Research and Development (ER D) Services. This role focuses on implementing effective sales strategies to meet revenue and profitability objectives, driving sales performance, and fostering key customer relationships. The Head will also collaborate with other departments to eliminate obstacles and enhance sales processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the sales organization to drive performance and provide daily leadership and management to achieve goals.
  • Ensure that sales forecasts are accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and ensure budget compliance according to company goals and strategic objectives, analyzing performance and market data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Create and implement short- and long-term sales strategies for engineering solutions within the NEP Industry.
  • Grow the sales funnel and manage the maturation of leads from qualification to closure, focusing on high-profile relationships.
  • Establish performance standards and measures for the sales team, driving continuous improvement through goal setting and increased benchmarks.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and developing the sales team, fostering collaboration and engagement to attract top talent.
  • Promote the use of Salesforce and other tools to enhance efficiency in sales pipeline management and forecasting.

Requirements

  • 15 years of validated experience in sales leadership with a proven track record of revenue growth in large, high-profile accounts.
  • Experience closing multiple $10 million deals and achieving $80 million in annual sales.
  • Background in selling to the Communications, Networking, and Media Technology sectors.
  • Experience with product design or engineering services sales to major accounts such as Cisco, Huawei, and NBC Universal.
  • Strong industry alliances and the ability to influence C-level communications.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills to build and lead industry partnerships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales talent.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to forecast, analyze, and communicate sales growth.
  • Strong understanding of solutions selling methods and the ability to coach and mentor the sales team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital media platforms such as YouTube and Roku.
  • Familiarity with sales tools and CRM systems beyond Salesforce.
