About the position
The Securities Lending Operations Associate at Futu US Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the operational lifecycle of securities lending. This position involves facilitating communication among various functional teams, sharing best practices, and focusing on process and performance efficiency. The role requires in-office presence at specified locations, emphasizing the company's commitment to an in-office work philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of transactions while performing all relevant controls.
- Build and maintain strong rapport with both internal and external partners.
- Communicate operational expectations and business unit objectives clearly within the team.
- Uphold key controls and monitor risk indicators to maintain operational integrity.
- Ensure the stock loan business operates in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reconcile and resolve breaks on Loanet Contract Compare Report and Mark-to-Mark.
- Initiate, update, and monitor recall notices, cancellations, buy-ins, and SPO.
- Manage return screens/call back and monitor high volume of calls/emails at critical cutoff time.
- Balance end of day between Loanet and DTCC.
- Review and setup new counterparties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the domestic stock loan operating model.
- Working knowledge of the domestic stock loan operating model.
- Familiarity with Loanet functionality and DTC processing and balancing.
- Experience in trade exception handling, settlement, collateral management, and stock loan return processing.
- Ability to conduct contract compare reviews and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the organization.
- Capable of identifying high-risk situations and addressing them promptly.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Effective prioritization and time management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think clearly in challenging situations.
