About the position

The Global Business Operations (GBO) organization plays a crucial role in supporting various DTCC businesses, including The Depository Trust Company (DTC), National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC), and Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC). Our mission is to provide superior operations processing and client services support while minimizing risk and cost and maximizing efficiency. This position is an entry point for securities to be made eligible for DTC services, which involves understanding and mastering operational processes and ensuring that securities meet DTC's standards for eligibility. In this role, you will execute operational processes by following documented procedures and job aids, while also taking ownership of your workload to ensure deliverables are met in line with established procedures, metrics, and benchmarks. You will maintain a steadfast focus on meeting the needs of our internal and external clients, responding to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner, and resolving issues promptly. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers is essential for facilitating issue resolution, process improvements, and risk reduction. Effective communication skills are vital, as you will be expected to engage actively in meetings, demonstrate curiosity to learn and grow, and accept feedback to improve your performance. Additionally, you will align risk and control processes into your day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk, escalating issues appropriately when necessary. This role offers a flexible/hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work, which supports a healthy work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Executes on operational processes by following documented procedures and job aides while working at understanding and mastering knowledge of process.
  • Takes ownership of workload, ensures deliverables met in line with procedures, metrics, and benchmarks; while adhering to critical timeframes; ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Maintains a steadfast focus on meeting the needs/requests of our internal and external clients, including responding to inquiries timely and accurately, resolving issues promptly.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external customers to facilitate issue resolution, process improvements, and risk reduction.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, active engagement in meetings and displays a curiosity to learn and grow; accepts feedback given and applies to role.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.

Requirements

  • Entry Level - internship experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
