About the position

The Securities Operations Associate I position at FIS Global is designed to support the Asset Transition for Wealth & Retirement clients, focusing on BPaaS processing on the Global Plus Trust Accounting Platform. This role involves monitoring operational controls, assisting team members, documenting processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors e-mail for directions applicable to processing on desk.
  • Reviews operational controls and procedures for adequacy and compliance.
  • Assists other team members in the completion of their responsibilities and assists with any other ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Documents and creates checklists for each action for internal control and audit purposes.
  • Delivers assets for exchange to the agent bank.
  • Monitors internal accounts and position exceptions.
  • Monitors inbound and outbound Cost Basis Transfer Statements both manually and via CBRS, including asset distribution transfers and tax lot adjustments.
  • Posts securities transactions as received or withdrawn to accounts on Trust system.
  • Posts, submits and monitors incoming and outgoing mutual fund transfers via FUNDLINX and account transfers submitted via ACATS.
  • Reviews and resolves daily position reconciliation and all daily cash reconciliations for outages incurred during processing.
  • Initiates action to resolve any discrepancies with transfers.
  • Adheres to department follow-up standards for all transfers.
  • Ensures files are organized and written documentation is retained on transfers.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of basic office equipment and tools as well as applications specific to trust systems/processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, organizational, and data entry skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in an organized manner and maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and the public.
