About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist to join the Annuity Operations - Post Issue Liquidation team within Wealth and Investment Management Operations. This role focuses on processing liquidation requests for annuities, ensuring quality control, and supporting team operations through coaching and case escalations. The Specialist will engage in process improvement initiatives and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Quality Control reviews for the Annuity Liquidation team.
• Process annuity linking and ACH payments.
• Support the team by managing case escalations and providing coaching.
• Participate in initiatives for annuity solution lifecycle support and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Analyze operational tasks and challenges, exercising independent judgment for low-to-medium risk deliverables.
• Present recommendations for resolving complex situations within a trade environment.
• Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Develop expertise in client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, and other operational processes.
• Resolve escalated issues within the scope of responsibility in Annuity Liquidations.
• Research business risks and provide input into policies to enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Securities Operations experience or equivalent work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with data collection and reporting.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of Annuity or Brokerage Operations experience.
• Ability to work independently and creatively while exercising sound judgment.
• Experience importing, exporting, and manipulating data using Microsoft Excel.
