About the position

The Security Account Manager at ProGuard Security Services is responsible for overseeing the service delivery to clients in Oakland, CA. This role involves managing day-to-day activities of the account, including hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, billing, and evaluating staff. The position requires strong leadership and excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to work flexibly, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the assigned security account.
  • Hire, train, and schedule security staff.
  • Oversee payroll and billing processes.
  • Evaluate and counsel security personnel as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients and staff.
  • Develop and lead the team of security officers.
  • Handle tasks related to compliance and overtime control.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in contract security management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Previous experience in client management.
  • Experience in the physical security industry.
  • Experience in a union environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of 2-Way Radio / 10 Code.
  • Familiarity with standard labor laws and regulations.
  • Availability on a 24/7 basis as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; college degree and/or ASIS certification (CPP, PSP) preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
