About the position

The Security Account Manager for Allied Universal is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of security services at a luxury retail mall in Staten Island. This role involves managing a team of security personnel, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining effective relationships with clients and employees. The position requires strong leadership skills to meet financial and operational goals while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day security operations of the assigned client site.
  • Manage a team of security officers and site/shift supervisors, including hiring, scheduling, payroll, training, and development.
  • Ensure high-quality security services to protect people and property at the client site.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and employees.
  • Coordinate necessary support services to meet financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting and contract requirements.
  • Handle escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
  • Communicate staffing needs and assist recruiters in hiring quality candidates.
  • Develop staff through performance management and training.
  • Ensure employee grievances are addressed and personnel records are accurate.
  • Communicate policies and job openings through an updated READ file at each site.
  • Meet all contractual scheduled hours with minimal unbilled overtime.
  • Conduct site-specific training and maintain operational procedures for emergency reference.
  • Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies, and vehicles at the account.
  • Proactively communicate with the client to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in security management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and billing software, preferably WinTeam.
