About the position

The Local Government Global Industry Unit (LGGIU) at Oracle is seeking security specialists to enhance cyber security and compliance for public sector SaaS solutions. This role emphasizes the importance of security in cloud services, requiring a detail-oriented individual who can analyze large data sets, perform vulnerability assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance. The position involves collaboration with various teams to improve security measures and educate others about security processes.

Responsibilities

• Help drive comprehensive and ongoing Tenancy and SaaS security assessments via both manual and automated means
• Perform vulnerability and compliance gap risk assessments
• Work with development and SOC/SIEM teams to improve security alerts
• Work with Compliance teams to support gap analysis and evidence collection
• Support security incident response as required
• Partner with software development through ongoing security identification
• Partner with Site Reliability Engineering to help identify and work with them to improve automation mechanisms
• Seek out opportunities to improve systems and reporting mechanisms

Requirements

• Experience in vulnerability assessments and compliance gap risk assessments
• Familiarity with CVE scoring and OWASP security best practices
• Ability to read production code (Java, Go) and code small utilities in Python
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and control assessments
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

• Experience with security incident response
