About the position

The Security Analyst role at World Wide Technology (WWT) focuses on enhancing the organization's cybersecurity strategies and capabilities. This position involves designing and implementing resilience frameworks, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The analyst will work closely with clients to improve their security measures and sustain operations during cyber crises, leveraging technical skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and implementing quantitative risk assessments focused on Cyber Resilience.
  • Manage data from vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection, and endpoint monitoring.
  • Create reports and ensure client compliance with security policies.
  • Collaborate with client IT teams and participate in security drills to evaluate response effectiveness.
  • Conduct quantitative risk analysis to identify and prioritize risks within the client's infrastructure.
  • Educate business users on system use and configuration management.
  • Create detailed reports on risk assessments, incidents, and remediation efforts.
  • Utilize Tableau and Microsoft Power BI to build visualizations that communicate business data effectively.
  • Document and improve client security measures in collaboration with IT teams and security consultants.
  • Conduct data analysis and deliver advanced technology outcomes using tools like Python and MSSQL.
  • Participate in interviews and workshops to gather requirements and assess current processes.
  • Maintain project plans and schedules, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as project manager for enterprise-level initiatives, coordinating deliverables and communication with stakeholders.
  • Present results and recommendations to clients and partners, engaging them in discussions about findings.
  • Support the creation of educational and sales materials for WWT account teams.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in computer science, information technology, software engineering, engineering, data science, or related fields.
  • Less than 3 years of work experience in Management Consulting, Engineering, Scientific Research, Technology Sales, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or Application Development.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills with the ability to interact with all management levels.
  • Skilled in multitasking and supporting tasks across multiple user groups in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Foundational skills in asking pertinent questions to identify business challenges and objectives.
  • Developing internal communication skills to effectively engage with different management levels.
  • A problem-solving mindset and ability to contribute creative solutions in team environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with risk assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of data management and configuration management best practices.
