This position is primarily based in a location within PNC's footprint. Responsibilities require time in the office or in a field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities can be performed remotely. Additional locations may be considered. As a Security Analyst within PNC's Technology organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh PA, Strongsville OH, Birmingham AL, Dallas TX or Phoenix AZ. The Security Analyst will provide technical evaluation and analysis, supporting activities, processes, and tools needed to improve the overall security posture of the organization. This role involves applying security concepts, reviewing information, executing defined tasks, analyzing requirements, reviewing logs, and creating documentation. The analyst will perform investigations and data loss prevention, data manipulation, and coordination of activities. They will also perform actions to address or mitigate risks and vulnerabilities, review and define controls, and advise on more complex security procedures and products for clients, security administrators, and network operations. The analyst will participate in the enforcement of control security risks and threats and share knowledge with staff. Conducting security assessments and other information security routines consistently is also a key responsibility, along with investigating and recommending corrective actions for data security related to established guidelines. Responsibilities

  • Provides technical evaluation and analysis to improve overall security posture.
  • Applies security concepts and executes defined tasks related to data protection.
  • Conducts investigations and data loss prevention activities.
  • Performs actions to address or mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Reviews and defines security controls and procedures.
  • Advises on complex security procedures and products for clients and network operations.
  • Conducts security assessments and recommends corrective actions for data security.
  • Prepares for and responds to compliance audits, generating necessary reports and documentation.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Data Protection techniques and technologies.
  • Familiarity with securing data in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of data encryption techniques, key management, and cryptographic protocols.
  • Understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Knowledge of securing databases, including role-based access control, auditing, and data masking.
  • Experience in automation and scripting.
  • Skills in securing end-user devices and understanding endpoint protection tools.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices.
  • Ability to prepare for and respond to compliance audits.
