About the position

The Security Analyst I position is responsible for supporting the implementation and management of the organization's IT security strategy. This role involves working on various projects and initiatives to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices. The analyst will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team, handling multiple assignments while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of IT security strategy in assigned projects and initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security measures are integrated into systems and applications.
• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Provide support for security-related incidents and investigations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or Associate Degree with 4 years of progressive work experience in IT or security settings.
• One or more security certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, GISF, GSEC) preferred.
• Experience in overall IT security strategy and its implementation in projects.
• Three or more years of experience with coding in languages such as .NET, C#, SQL, JSON, Python, or PowerShell preferred.
• 3+ years of Windows experience required.
• Experience with a variety of operating systems required.
• Knowledge of best practices in Information Security procedures and controls preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience applying current and emerging security solutions to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with defense in depth, trust levels, system access privileges, and permissions preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
