About the position

The Oregon Department of Justice is seeking a Security Analyst (Information Systems Specialist 7) to lead and support information security management for the Legal Tools Replacement Program. This senior-level position is responsible for ensuring secure software development practices and providing expertise in information security governance, risk, and compliance. The role involves collaboration with technical teams to validate security measures, manage audits, and develop security plans, all while fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support information security management for the Legal Tools Replacement Program.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
  • Manage and coordinate security audits, risk assessments, and secure code reviews.
  • Analyze designs and solutions to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
  • Develop and maintain system security plans, policies, and procedures in collaboration with teams.
  • Evaluate software solutions for security compliance with DOJ standards.
  • Communicate security requirements and compliance mandates to stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight and advisory support to the LTR Program in collaboration with the DOJ Information Security Officer.

Requirements

  • Six years of information systems experience managing security for cloud and on-premises systems.
  • Experience developing and implementing system security plans.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of NIST Security and Privacy Frameworks, including NIST 800-53 r5 and 800-60.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in ISP, CISSP, CCSP, GSEC, Security+, or equivalent.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding personnel in information security procedures.
