About the position

The Security Command Center Operator is a part-time role responsible for overseeing critical security functions within the Corporate Command Center. This position involves monitoring alerts, managing dispatch requests, and providing customer service support. The operator will work three days a week, primarily during evening hours, and must be able to handle various security-related tasks while maintaining effective communication and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

• Ensure scheduled posts are covered and verify officers are on duty.
• Monitor operational systems alerts and control programs.
• Monitor weather and significant event alerts affecting officers and facilities.
• Dispatch officers to alarm, disturbance, and escort requests.
• Manage requests for additional service.
• Support officers responding to priority level issues.
• Audit and verify company assets at assigned locations.

• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to sit for long periods and occasionally move about the office.
• Basic computer technology skills and ability to learn new programs.
• Hearing ability to respond to emergency situations.
• Visual acuity to read documents and computer monitors.

• Security experience is a plus but not required.
• Customer service and call center experience preferred.
