About the position

The Billings Clinic Security Team plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of all hospital staff, patients, and visitors. As a Surveillance Monitor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive video surveillance across all areas of the Billings Clinic. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity of the facility and providing protection to all individuals on the premises. You will be expected to effectively communicate critical information to Security Officers while utilizing computer software to document activities and incidents that occur on the Billings Clinic Campus. In this role, you will support and model behaviors that align with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, and service expectations. You will be required to meet all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements, ensuring that you maintain competency in all relevant standards related to the environment, employee safety, patient safety, and job performance. Your expertise in operating various equipment, including radio consoles, telephones, and computer systems, will be essential. You will act as a subject matter expert for these tools, providing necessary information upon request. Additionally, you will be responsible for closely monitoring emergency and life-safety systems and alarms, such as fire detection, intrusion detection, access control, and security cameras. Your ability to effectively and promptly relay information regarding incidents to Security Officers will allow for proactive and timely reactions and enforcement. You will also actively monitor entrances and exits during Emergency Management situations and internal drills, including flood control. This position requires a commitment to performing all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department and/or organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct video surveillance of all aspects of Billings Clinic to maintain integrity and provide protection.
  • Effectively communicate information to Security Officers regarding incidents and activities.
  • Utilize computer software to document activities and incidents occurring on the Billings Clinic Campus.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including radio consoles, telephones, and computer systems.
  • Monitor emergency and life-safety systems and alarms, such as fire detection and intrusion detection.
  • Relay information regarding incidents to Security Officers for timely reaction and enforcement.
  • Monitor entrances and exits during Emergency Management situations and internal drills.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate video surveillance equipment and computer systems proficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to relay information effectively to Security Officers.
  • Knowledge of emergency and life-safety systems and alarms.
  • Competency in maintaining organizational and departmental standards related to safety and job performance.
