About the position
The Security Compliance Consultant will lead the implementation and execution of the technical aspects of the State Fund's Enterprise Security Plan. This role requires a subject matter expert in security issues and projects, with a focus on ensuring compliance and governance within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead staff in the implementation and execution of the State Fund's Enterprise Security Plan.
- Act as the subject matter expert on security issues and projects.
- Conduct complex Risk Assessments and provide in-depth security consultation.
- Develop and maintain security policies and standards.
- Train team members on security practices and procedures.
- Perform analysis on complex Security Incident Response tickets.
- Attend meetings and lead assigned Information Security projects.
Requirements
- 5 years of IT experience with 2 years in a lead/management role.
- 5 years of experience in security practices.
- Required technical skills include security project management, knowledge of hardware, operating systems, networks, network protocols, databases, cloud platforms, security concepts, security GRC, active directory, and programming languages.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior management.
- Knowledge of security, policy compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a regulated environment.
- Ability to explain complex problems and solutions.
- Strategic thinking and influencing skills.
- Project management experience.
- CISA, CISM, and/or CISSP Certification is required.
