As a Security Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. This position involves regulatory compliance, security operations, and investigations related to airport operations. The Security Team operates 24 hours a day, and your active participation in day-to-day security operations is essential to ensure the safety and security of all Guests, Team Members, and property. The Security Operations Officer is responsible for enforcing Spirit Airlines' standard security policies, which include the protection of team members and assets, as well as compliance with AOSSP regulations. You will conduct investigations into violations of regulatory compliance, loss, and fraud, preparing detailed reports on all investigative matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with local law enforcement agencies on criminal matters and conduct scheduled audits as assigned. This role requires excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, as you will have significant contact with Guests and authorities. Given the physical nature of the position, candidates must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs. We are looking for individuals who are skilled problem solvers with a high attention to detail. You will need to communicate clearly both in writing and orally about the elements of the security programs affecting airport operations. The ability to think creatively and develop solutions to limit operational impact and cost is essential. You will also need to maintain operational compliance and integrity while considering operational costs. Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for guests and team members.
• Ensure compliance with AOSSP regulations governing airline operations.
• Enforce Spirit Airlines standard security policies for team members and assets.
• Conduct investigations into regulatory compliance violations, loss, and fraud.
• Prepare detailed reports on investigative matters and follow up with local law enforcement agencies.
• Conduct scheduled audits as assigned by the audit scheduling team.
• Provide general security support to operations teams as required.
• Coordinate airport-specific emergency response for team members.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Law Enforcement, Airport Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of military/law enforcement or similar security-related experience.
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing security compliance environment.
• Ability to acquire required SIDA credentials in accordance with IAH airport regulations and standards.
• Ability to acquire US customs seal for access to CBP IAH customs areas.
• Understanding of security measures outlined in the AOSSP and current Security Directives.
• Operational knowledge of Carrier's reservation system and departure control system.
