About the position

FEDITC, LLC is seeking a Security Control Assessor (Intermediate) / Data Security Analyst II to support the Department of Defense (DoD) and other intelligence agencies. This role involves evaluating and improving information security controls, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines, and providing subject matter expertise in cybersecurity processes. The position requires strong technical skills in networking and operating systems, as well as the ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience with DoD 8500.2 Information Assurance Controls (IAC) and common vulnerabilities and exposures.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, DoD IVAM tracking and reporting procedures, and FISMA, RMF, and NIST 800 series guidelines.
• Conduct assessments of compliance and operational and technical security controls to determine their effectiveness.
• Document and report findings, making recommendations for improvement.
• Support and develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Provide subject matter expertise in developing a cybersecurity process improvement roadmap (CPIR).
• Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities and recommend remedies to improve IT resource protection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of direct experience in information security.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT II or IAM II Level certification required.
• Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Experience in testing and evaluation of security controls.
