As a Lead Security Data Scientist on the Duo AI and Security Research team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the security posture of our customers by developing systems that detect, mitigate, and prevent identity cyber threats. Your work will involve collaborating closely with various teams within the Data Science & Engineering organization to improve existing systems such as Trust Monitor and Risk-based Authentication, while also innovating new machine learning and data-driven enhancements for Duo's product offerings. This position requires a blend of data science expertise and a keen understanding of adversarial techniques, enabling you to deliver best-in-class security outcomes. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and refining algorithms that can effectively detect cyber threats within large-scale customer telemetry. You will work alongside Product, Engineering, and Design teams to implement systems that provide real-time mitigation of detected threats. Additionally, you will investigate the latest tactics, techniques, and procedures in identity security, collaborating with threat intelligence teams from Cisco Talos to stay ahead of emerging threats. Your leadership will be crucial in constructing labeled threat datasets and guiding their application in machine learning projects. You will also analyze the relationship between authentication policies and security outcomes, designing algorithms that help customers enhance their security posture. As a representative of the Data Science perspective during product development, you will help prioritize data collection and establish feedback loops necessary for future data initiatives.
