We are GDIT, a global technology and professional services company that delivers consulting, technology, and mission services to every major agency across the U.S. government, defense, and intelligence community. Our work depends on a Security Design and Integration Engineer joining our team to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program in Falls Church, VA. This position is part of an IT Service Management contract aimed at enabling information dominance from the tactical edge to the home station for the Army, DoD, National Command Authority, and international partners. The AGUN program focuses on acquiring, implementing, and sustaining strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems while leveraging technologies to meet current and future requirements. As a Security Design and Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, procuring, maintaining, deploying, and transitioning a Global Software Defined Network (SDN) solution in accordance with applicable Army policies and regulations. The AGUN-INC1 Task Order will provide a unified approach to ensure standardized deployments and configurations at multiple locations throughout the globe. To be successful in this position, you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with the client and senior staff, so articulate communication is essential as your opinion matters. You will need to explain technical intricacies in a way that is easily understood. The role requires a strong understanding of Network Security Fundamentals, SIEM Integration, Firewall Configuration and Management, and familiarity with NetOps and SecOps tools, such as DX NetOps. You should also have knowledge of SOAR, Scripting and Automation, data flows, data normalization and enrichment, API integration skills, event correlation and analysis, security policy alignment, and performance and scalability considerations. Familiarity with change management, documentation, continuous monitoring, and maintenance is also necessary. Possession of a CCNA certification and appropriate certifications in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, DFARS 252.239-7001, AR 25-2, or any successor policies or regulations is required.
