About The Position

GDIT, a Federal marketplace leader in next-generation IT solutions and professional services, is seeking highly qualified and motivated IT professionals like you who are eager to contribute to our critical Homeland Security missions. GDIT is supporting Department of the Homeland Security (DHS) software development and application enhancements. GDIT is excited to offer you a unique opportunity to join an Agile Team utilizing CI/CD pipeline to support one of our nation's most critical homeland missions. GDIT is seeking a highly motivated security engineer to join our growing team to develop, support, and modernize mission-critical applications for our DHS customer. The successful candidate will help to develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical applications. You will also provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements to working solutions. This includes involvement with users to define system scope and objectives, as well as contributing to design decisions.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
• Bachelors degree or equivalent and 10+ years of security experience
• Experience / basic understanding of Java programming language
• Experience deploying and monitoring web applications in AWS
• Experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices
• Knowledge with end-to-end fully-automated CI/CD pipelines, from code commits to production
• Experience with build automation CM tools
• Experience in Jira to support DevOps implementation in an Agile environment
• Experience in Agile methodology

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH or CISM desired
• An understanding of best practices and how to implement them at a business-wide levels
• Familiar with Ansible Tower
• Familiar with Redshift and AWS
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven
• Experience with Jira to support configuration management in an Agile environment
