About the position

A TEKsystems client is seeking a Security Developer to play a pivotal role in the development and configuration of connections for their new mobile native application. This position is essential for the digital transformation of their program, which aims to enhance their existing mobile platform, specifically the Member log-in portal. This portal is crucial for members to find in-network doctors, access their insurance cards, review claim details, and more. The Security Developer will collaborate with various security and technology teams to define, drive, and deliver significant security components that align with the program's objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of security protocols, configurations, and best practices tailored for digital platforms, particularly mobile applications. They will be responsible for developing and configuring mobile connections, specifically APIs, to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Knowledge and experience with information security controls, application security testing, and infrastructure implementation techniques are critical for success in this role. In addition to technical skills, the Security Developer will need to demonstrate exceptional communication and customer relationship skills, as they will be required to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organization. The ability to build consensus and cooperation, influence senior leadership, and integrate change and project management methodologies into project design will be essential for achieving program goals.

Responsibilities

• Build out and configure connections for a new mobile native application.
• Collaborate with security and technology teams to define and deliver security components.
• Develop and configure mobile connections (APIs) for the application.
• Install, configure, and maintain mobile app security assessment tools.
• Integrate mobile app security assessment tools with existing CI/CD pipelines for automated security testing.

Requirements

• Professional experience of 2+ years in agile application development, SDLC, and/or security officer experience.
• Deep experience with mobile security for Android or iOS operating systems.
• Hands-on knowledge with authentication security controls.
• Knowledge of User and Entity Behavior Analytics and associated technologies.
• Experience with web proxy controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including MS Project and Visio.
• Ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organization.
• Exceptional communication and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to build consensus and cooperation and influence senior leadership.
• Knowledge of change and project management methodologies and principles.
• Broad knowledge of information security technologies, techniques, and processes.
• Experience leading complex technical projects and facilitating project meetings.
• Demonstrable ability to self-direct project outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Excellent process design capability to improve efficiency and customer experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Azure, .NET, C#, and mobile application development.
• Familiarity with digital platforms and strategies in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of identity access management (IAM) and Azure B2C.
