About the position

The Security Employee Lead Screener at Unifi Aviation LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah, is responsible for overseeing security operations, ensuring the safety of the premises, and acting as a backup supervisor. This role involves screening visitors and employees, conducting security checks, and responding to emergencies, all while maintaining a high level of customer service and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the backup Supervisor
  • Write clear and concise reports
  • Inspect identification and vehicle decals
  • Screen visitors, couriers, and contractors prior to entering the building
  • Conduct random employee body scans and bag checks on all airport employees
  • Conduct random ETD checks
  • Patrol and document security-related inquiries from tenants, employees, and the general public
  • Take reports of criminal or other suspicious activities dealing with the company's property, personnel, or operations
  • Advise management team of any emergency or security incident for appropriate resolution
  • Handle all building emergency alarms (i.e., fire, elevator entrapment, intercom, etc.)
  • Inventory keys, radios, and other equipment and issue keys to the contractor
  • Perform any other security-related assignment as needed

Requirements

  • Must be a local (in-state) resident
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must complete SIDA training if needed to obtain airport authority identification security
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment
  • Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner
  • Knowledge of security principles and practices

Nice-to-haves

  • Licensed Security Guard Card (preferred)
  • Minimum 1+ years of relevant experience preferred
