About the position

The Security Endpoint Management Engineer role is a contract position focused on the management and maintenance of endpoint security solutions within an enterprise environment. The engineer will work closely with experienced security and network engineers to ensure the protection of enterprise systems through effective monitoring, incident response, and compliance management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain EDR solutions including Black Carbon and Threat Locker suite of tools across enterprise systems
  • Monitor and respond to endpoint security alerts and incidents
  • Review and process application listing requests, performing malware analysis when needed
  • Ensure endpoint health and compliance across the organization
  • Implement and maintain enforcement policies for endpoint security tools
  • Monitor and verify proper functioning of security software on workstations and laptops
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of new security tools
  • Participate in the phase-out of legacy systems (Carbon Black) and implementation of new solutions (Threat Locker)
  • Proactively identify and address potential security issues
  • Document processes and maintain operational procedures
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security tools compatibility with business applications
  • Support incident response efforts when needed

Requirements

  • Experience with Windows endpoint management and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security concepts
  • Self-starter mentality with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with EDR solutions (Symantec, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender)
  • Familiarity with application listing tools (Threat Locker, Macify)
  • Basic understanding of network security concepts
  • Experience with security tool deployment and management
  • Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks
