About the position

The AWS Hardware Supply Chain Security (HSCS) Team is seeking a Security Engineer to enhance the global hardware supplier and manufacturing security program. This role involves assessing and mitigating risks in partner manufacturing and logistics, contributing to defense mechanisms, and analyzing the threat landscape to prioritize improvements. The position offers a collaborative environment focused on securing the future of cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize security findings and recommend appropriate mitigations
• Perform hands-on threat modeling, risk assessment, and manufacturing security validation
• Conduct security training and outreach to internal teams and external supply chain partners
• Travel as needed to provide insight and feedback to suppliers and data centers around the world
• Mentor team members and promote skill development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP
• Familiarity with modern semiconductor hardware manufacturing and supply chains.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, and network security
• Experience with AWS products and services
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++
