About the position

As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a critical role in delivering software solutions that meet functional and user requirements while ensuring security against misuse and malicious behavior. This position involves executing security solutions design, development, and troubleshooting, contributing to the firm's business objectives through secure technology implementations.

Responsibilities

• Execute security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Apply specialized tools to analyze and correlate incident data to identify, interpret, and summarize the probability and impact of threats.
• Lead delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises.
• Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• Formal experience in security engineering with 3 years of knowledge.
• Experience developing security engineering solutions.
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Professional software engineering experience with Java/Spring Boot, Front End technologies like React, and database querying languages.
• Demonstrated experience in developing web applications using RESTful API.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with Python and AWS Services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB.
• Developer or Solutions Architect Level AWS Certification.
• Working knowledge in NoSQL Databases.
• Exposure to infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Exposure to Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
