About the position

As a Security Engineer specializing in Systems Integration at Meta, you will play a crucial role in designing secure architectures and ensuring the integrity of how Meta's internal systems interact with third-party systems. This position requires a deep understanding of secure design principles and the ability to implement smart data access models while adhering to the principle of least privilege. You will be part of a hands-on engineering team focused on securing third-party integrations across all of Meta's platforms. Your responsibilities will include conducting design reviews of existing and incoming third-party SaaS integrations, guiding developers to remediate existing issues, and preventing future architectural missteps. In this role, you will leverage your extensive technical knowledge to identify opportunities for scaled engineering solutions that enhance security while minimizing friction and maximizing productivity. You will be tasked with solving complex security challenges and ensuring that third-party integrations do not introduce additional security and privacy risks. Your work will be pivotal in maintaining Meta's robust security posture in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct design reviews of existing and incoming third-party SaaS integrations across Meta.
  • Guide developers in remediating existing and/or avoiding future integration architecture mis-steps.
  • Seek opportunities for clever, scaled engineering concepts to maximize team efficiency.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in hands-on information security.
  • Experience in designing secure third-party system integrations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Coding/scripting experience in one or more general purpose languages.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience writing software that enables security processes.
  • Contributions to the broader security community (public research, blogging, presentations, etc).
