About the position

The Product Security Engineer role at Zoom focuses on designing secure solutions and leading security initiatives within product development. Responsibilities

• Reviewing the design, architecture, and implementation of security solutions for products to ensure the highest security standards are met.
• Providing guidance and subject matter expertise in the design, implementation, and validation of cryptographic systems to engineering teams.
• Staying updated and ensuring adherence to security best practices including OWASP Top 10 and evolving cryptographic standards.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all stages of product development.
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks in applications.
• Driving security initiatives across the organization and promoting a culture of security awareness.
• Staying current with emerging product security trends, tools, and best practices with a focus on cryptography.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product security with advanced knowledge of cryptographic system implementations and secure product development.
• Expertise in addressing security and privacy issues and proper use of cryptographic functions.
• In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and protocols and security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, C/C++.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
