About the position

The Security Engineer position focuses on Cloud Security with a specialization in Kubernetes. The role involves planning, designing, testing, and implementing security infrastructure for cloud-native environments, particularly those utilizing container services. The engineer will be responsible for identifying security challenges, leading troubleshooting efforts, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity developments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, test, and implement computer and network security infrastructure for cloud-native container services.
• Analyze environments to identify technical and operational challenges and develop solutions for improvement.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and incident/problem resolutions with security and cloud teams.
• Maintain knowledge of current developments in cloud, CaaS, and cybersecurity, including threats to IT environments.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of cloud computing principles, including virtualization, containerization, microservices, and serverless computing.
• 5+ years of experience in Information Security with 4+ years in cloud security.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud container security.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager.
• Experience working in DevSecOps and enforcing a secure software development lifecycle.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CDP.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with static container scanning tools like Trivy and Snyk.
• Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault or Cyberark for secrets management.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
