About the position
As a Security Guard at Arrow Security, you will be responsible for providing onsite watch and protection of assigned posts and designated perimeters, particularly at Randalls Island in Manhattan, NY. Your primary duties will include observing and reporting any incidents or breaches of security, supporting client expectations, and ensuring the safety and security of clients, visitors, and property. You will be expected to utilize the company’s scheduling platform for clocking in and out of your shifts, and to evaluate and respond to alerts in the surrounding area with professionalism and adherence to company protocols. In situations that require escalation, you will alert the Supervisor on Duty, and you may assist fellow security guards with de-escalation efforts when necessary. In addition to these responsibilities, you will follow established procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, and incident reporting. It is crucial that you work with diligence and respect to maintain a secure environment, while also adhering to all company service and operating standards. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed, and you will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism at all times. Responsibilities

- Evaluates and responds to alerts in surrounding area with professionalism and according to company protocol
- Alerts Supervisor on Duty when situation requires escalation per company protocol
- Assists fellow security guards with de-escalation when applicable per company protocol
- Follows procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, and incident reporting
- Works with diligence and respect to ensure the safety and security of assigned client, visitors and property
- Adheres to all Company service and operating standards
- Performs additional tasks as needed
Requirements
- Valid NYS Security Guard License
- Current F-02 & F04 Certification (Certificate of Fitness for Fire Guard)
- Minimum 6 months of security guard experience
- Completion of 16 HR OJT Class required by NYS Licensing Division
- Valid CPR-AED certification is a plus
