About the position
The Security Guard at Diamondback E & P LLC is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of company assets by monitoring activities, conducting patrols, and maintaining a professional presence. This role requires vigilance in identifying potential threats and responding appropriately, while also serving as a role model for safety and compliance within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Identify safety or security threats and respond appropriately and in a timely manner
- Maintain logs and prepare incident reports, when required
- Monitor access to the building floors and private parking areas via CCTV and computerized systems
- Safely operate company vehicles, when required
- Perform daily patrols of interior and exterior of building on foot and vehicle
- Professionally greet and register guests and visitors
- Maintain a professional, uniformed appearance
- Other job duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of Professional and/or law enforcement experience
- Must hold a license as an armed security guard for the State of Texas and/or active commissioned Texas Peace Officer, and/or retired State of Texas Peace Officer that is LEOSA certified
- Ability to follow instructions, with good attention to details
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff
- Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing
- Proficiency and understanding of physical security principles, practices and operations
- Ability to react effectively, using sound judgment in dynamic situations
- Valid Texas driver's license with excellent driving record
- Must be able to work on flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime, after-hours and weekends
- Must have the physical strength, endurance and flexibility to perform rigorous security duties

- Strong Analytical and Problem Solving capabilities
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of electronic security systems desirable/preferred
