About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of clients, their staff, employees, and vendors at the Denver International Airport. This role serves as a visible deterrent to illegal activities and requires quick and effective responses to both emergency and non-emergency situations. The officer must maintain vigilance, write clear reports, and foster positive relationships with co-workers and clients while enforcing security policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer a college degree in criminal justice or security discipline, or completion of police academy.
• Experience in military police, correctional officer, law enforcement, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security licenses or certifications.
• Ability to complete all required training and pass competency tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Guard Cards in the Denver area preferred.
• Basic Officer, Advanced Officer, and Supervisor Certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible deterrence to crime and suspicious activities in various areas.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Verbally and physically intervene during crises as necessary.
• Escort individuals and assist client personnel when needed.
• Remain alert to activities that could result in injury or property damage.
• Write accurate and clear reports of incidents and activities.
• Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and client staff.
• Enforce and abide by all client policies and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by security leadership.
