About the position
This position is with the 100th Missile Defense Brigade, in Fort Drum, NY, performing armed access control duties at the In-flight Interceptor Communications System Data Terminal Complex. The role involves ensuring security through armed patrols and access control, while adhering to strict regulations and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct armed foot patrol of the interior and exterior of restricted areas to inspect for security violations.
- Provide access control of vehicles and pedestrians to the IDT Complex based on an approved limited access roster and/or appropriate restricted area access badge.
- Verify identification through various means including identification cards, badges, biometrics, and verbal questioning.
- Warn violators of laws, regulations, policies, and rules or posted warnings.
Requirements
- Must possess a Secret clearance.
- Must pass a drug test.
- Must comply with the Individual Reliability Program as per Army Regulation 190-56.
- Must be able to work shift hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must complete a pre-employment Physical Examination and annual examinations thereafter.
- Must qualify semi-annually in the use of assigned firearms/weapons.
- Must complete initial, annual, and recertification security guard training as per AR 190-56.
- Must have CPR certification and First Aid training.
- Must maintain a valid state Driver's License to operate vehicles.
- Must wear prescribed uniform.
