About the position
The UCSF Senior Security Guard is responsible for providing proactive crime prevention patrols and safety surveillance across all Medical Center facilities. Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, the guard will monitor activities to ensure compliance with policies and assist with security requests, while also participating in special projects and events as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provide proactive crime prevention patrol of all Medical Center Facilities.
- Monitor activities to ensure compliance with stated policies and program services.
- Assist and respond to requests for security assistance.
- Comply with POST orders and policies for areas of responsibility.
- Participate in special projects and events as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One or more years of Security experience
- Valid California Driver's License
- Valid Guard Card from California Consumer Services
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook & Excel
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Nice-to-haves
- Associate's (AA or AS) Degree
- Two or more years of security experience
