About The Position
The Cincinnati Art Museum is seeking a full-time Security Guard to join its Security Department. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the museum's art, areas, alarm systems, and visitors. The Security Guard will work the night shift, specifically the second shift, from Sunday to Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. The role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service to both visitors and staff, maintaining a positive professional image of the museum, and monitoring various security systems and protocols. In addition to monitoring the artwork and museum areas, the Security Guard will be responsible for overseeing CCTV and alarm systems, managing lighting both inside and outside the building, and maintaining key control by managing keys and access cards. The position also involves conducting regular night watch rounds throughout the museum to ensure that all windows and doors are secured and to inspect for any signs of theft, vandalism, or safety hazards. Other responsibilities include answering phones, preparing absence reports, logging lost and found items, and assisting in various posts and assignments as needed.
