This position is located in the Security Department of the Veterans Home of Barstow. The Security Guard ensures the safety and security of the Home, residents, staff and member of the public.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the Home, residents, staff, and members of the public.

Requirements

• Must pass an examination for Security Guard to establish list eligibility prior to job offer.
• Background Investigation clearance required prior to hiring.
• Medical Clearance required prior to hiring.
• Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required.
