About the position

The Hospital Detail Officer position at Allied Universal involves providing security and protection services for inmates during their hospital stays or medical appointments. The role requires maintaining the integrity of the hospital room, ensuring proper escort and restraint of inmates, and monitoring their behavior. This position is crucial for safeguarding both the detainees and the healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and control detainee behavior during hospital stays and medical appointments.
• Restrain detainees by force if necessary, using handcuffs and other restraints.
• Perform searches of detainees, hospital rooms, and nearby objects for contraband.
• Transport or escort detainees using approved restraints according to policy and procedure.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff and management using approved communication devices.
• Maintain all issued equipment in functional and professional condition.

Requirements

• Must have 2 years' experience as a certified Law Enforcement, Corrections, or Military Police Officer.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screening as a condition of employment.
• Must complete training requirements and obtain a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification.
