About the position
The Security Installation Technician at Unlimited Technology is a full-time role focused on installing and maintaining advanced security systems. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment, supporting the security needs of various clients across the East Coast.
Responsibilities
- Install alarm (intrusion), access control, and IP video systems, including card readers, locks, and contacts.
- Test, troubleshoot, and correct issues in security systems.
- Read and interpret drawings and equipment schematics.
- Provide updates to project managers and customers.
- Pull low-voltage cables and perform necessary demolition tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
- 1-2 years of security installation experience preferred, or any relevant construction field experience.
- Ability to work with hand tools, read a multimeter, and operate in confined spaces and at heights.
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred.
- DCJS Certified or the ability to obtain certification.
- Prior troubleshooting experience and knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Project are bonuses.
- Familiarity with systems like Software House, Lenel, AMAG, Galaxy, Brivo, Bosch, Southwest Microwave, Genetec, and/or Onssi is a plus.
