About the position

The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive security program for the Schools/Community Services division at Sheppard Pratt. This role includes oversight of security personnel, policies, and systems to ensure the safety and security of patients, students, clients, staff, visitors, and property. The Security Manager will collaborate with various departments to maintain a secure environment, respond to security incidents, and lead emergency preparedness and incident response efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive security program for Schools/Community Services.
• Oversee all security personnel and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with various departments to support a secure environment.
• Respond to security incidents and provide leadership in emergency preparedness.
• Ensure the safety and security of patients, students, clients, staff, visitors, and property.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field, or ten years of progressive management experience in a security or law enforcement related field.
• 5 or more years of management experience in security or law enforcement.
• Extensive knowledge of security and emergency management best practices, particularly in healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding hospital/school/program.
