About the position
The Security Manager position at GovCIO is a fully remote role focused on delivering cybersecurity projects for a newly awarded customer contract. The role involves planning, executing, and managing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while also addressing current and emerging cybersecurity threats.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and deliver cybersecurity projects on time, within scope, and budget.
- Define project objectives, scopes, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate and lead regular meetings, providing project updates to stakeholders, senior management, and clients.
- Collaborate with security teams to identify and analyze potential cybersecurity risks, developing mitigation strategies as part of each project.
- Stay updated on current and emerging cybersecurity threats and ensure project initiatives address these areas.
- Align projects with cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity or commensurate experience.
- 8 years of cybersecurity experience.
- Must have an active HUD Public Trust clearance.
