About the position
The Security Manager at GovCIO will oversee cybersecurity projects for a newly awarded customer contract. This fully remote position requires a strong background in cybersecurity, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. The role involves staying updated on cybersecurity threats and aligning projects with relevant standards and frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and deliver cybersecurity projects on time, within scope, and budget.
- Define project objectives, scopes, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate and lead regular meetings, providing project updates to stakeholders, senior management, and clients.
- Collaborate with security teams to identify and analyze potential cybersecurity risks, developing mitigation strategies as part of each project.
- Stay updated on current and emerging cybersecurity threats and ensure project initiatives address these areas.
- Align projects with cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
- 8 years of cybersecurity experience.
- Must have an active HUD Public Trust clearance.
