About the position

The Security Office Supervisor at Prudential Defense Solutions is primarily responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of client assets in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. This role is crucial in maintaining a secure environment and involves a variety of tasks that require vigilance and adherence to established security protocols. The position is available for both full-time and part-time schedules, with full-time hours set from Tuesday to Saturday, 6 AM to 2 PM, and a starting wage of $21.50 per hour. In this role, the supervisor will perform security operating procedures and site-specific tasks in accordance with organizational policies and practices. Key functions include conducting perimeter and interior patrols, loss prevention, monitoring CCTV and other security systems, securing client property and assets, and standing posts as required. The supervisor will also be responsible for conveying information between clients, staff, and the organization, ensuring that all parties are informed and coordinated in their efforts to maintain security. Essential job functions include providing logistical support regarding the security of client assets, enforcing operating procedures, setting up and executing basic security functions such as access control and identification procedures, and preparing detailed reports of incidents. The supervisor will collaborate with other agents and agencies to exchange information and coordinate activities, as well as monitor and investigate suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and any unusual or illegal activity within the designated area. Effective communication is vital, as the supervisor must convey information and ideas clearly to ensure understanding among all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and report any event that may impact operations.
  • Provide assistance to any position or post on a designated detail.

  • Collaborate with other agents and agencies to exchange information and coordinate activities.
  • Monitor, note, report, and investigate suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and unusual or illegal activity.
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly to ensure understanding among others.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience as a Security Supervisor.
  • No felony convictions; no misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to comprehend and utilize the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Reliable means of communication (active e-mail and cell phone).
  • Possession of a valid PERC card.
