About the position
The Security Officer 2 position at Baptist Health South Florida is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients and staff. This role involves supporting the administration in maintaining the peaceful and orderly operation of the healthcare facilities. The officer will be proficient in all aspects of security as outlined in the BHSF security training program and will work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- Support the administration in maintaining the orderly operation of healthcare facilities.
- Complete the BHSF security training program and any supplemental training offered.
- Monitor and report any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Assist in emergency situations as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Law enforcement or military experience is desired.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- Additional security certifications.
