The Security Officer 2 position at Baptist Health South Florida is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients and staff across all facilities. This role involves working independently to maintain order and support the administration in the peaceful operation of the healthcare environment. The officer will be trained in various security protocols and will be expected to respond effectively to incidents as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
• Monitor and patrol the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Assist in the enforcement of hospital policies and procedures.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Complete required security training programs and supplemental training as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Completion of BHSF security training program before the end of the probationary period.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in law enforcement or military service.
