About the position
The Security Officer 2 position at Baptist Health South Florida is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves supporting the administration in maintaining the peaceful and orderly operation of the healthcare facilities. The officer will be proficient in all aspects of security as outlined in the BHSF security training program and will work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- Support the administration in maintaining order throughout the healthcare facilities.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies as they arise.
- Monitor and patrol the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
- Assist in the enforcement of hospital policies and procedures regarding safety and security.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Completion of BHSF security training program before the end of the probationary period.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in law enforcement or military service.
