About the position

Admiral Security Services is seeking a dedicated and bilingual Security Officer to join our professional security team in Miami, FL. This position is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of commercial buildings and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, as effective communication is key in this role. The Security Officer will be responsible for a variety of duties that include greeting guests, providing concierge services, and maintaining logs for lost and found items as well as incoming and outgoing packages. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, as the officer will be the first point of contact for guests and residents, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are communicated to management promptly. In addition to front desk responsibilities, the Security Officer will coordinate special events and projects as assigned, and provide information about the local area, including directions and recommendations for restaurants and attractions. The position may require working both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, and candidates should be prepared for physical demands such as standing for prolonged periods, walking, bending, and some lifting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is also required, as the officer will need to prepare daily activity reports and assist with mailings and newsletters. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Class D security license, and have a minimum of three years of front desk experience. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role. This is a full-time position with various shift options, including day, night, and overnight shifts, and offers competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Ensure customer needs are met by providing directions and suggestions for restaurants and surrounding attractions.
  • Coordinate special events or special projects as assigned.
  • Provide information on the geographical area.
  • Conduct all concierge services for the property in a professional manner at all times.
  • Respect all residents' privacy, information, perspective, priorities, times, and resources.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Communicate residents' and guests' concerns to management promptly.
  • Receive all lost and found items and keep a log of them.
  • Maintain a log for all incoming and outgoing packages and call residents to maintain records of all packages.
  • Assist with newsletter and other mailings (stuffing, labeling) and posting of memos in the mailroom.
  • Prepare daily activity reports as required and submit to management.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be bilingual (English + Spanish).
  • Must have 3 years of front desk experience.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have a valid D license.
  • Must be able to operate and maintain site-specific security programs.
  • Must have at least one year of verifiable work experience.
