About the position

The Security Officer at Cheniere Corpus Christi is responsible for providing security and protection for work sites, personnel, and assets. This role involves enforcing safety measures, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents according to established procedures. The position requires strong communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Understand and execute post orders, enforcing client and company policies.
• Perform access control functions and verify authorized individuals entering the facility.
• Process visitors and produce access badges.
• Operate gate traffic barriers to prevent unauthorized vehicle entry.
• Conduct screening and searches of vehicles and persons entering and exiting the facility.
• Monitor traffic and parking areas.
• Guard property against damage, theft, and unauthorized entry.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Display courteous and professional interactions with the public and customers.
• Operate and monitor CCTV equipment if trained and assigned.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Write Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports.
• Assist management and law enforcement in emergencies.
• Maintain high standards for work areas and appearance.
• Participate in safety meetings and training.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable transportation to/from work site
• Driver's license preferred
• Unarmed Security Officer License or ability to obtain
• Transportation Worker's Identification Card (TWIC) or ability to obtain
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and physical evaluation

Nice-to-haves

• Formal education or training in criminal justice or law enforcement
• Experience with CCTV equipment
• Ability to work under pressure
