Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the facilities.
• Act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions.
• Detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts at or near assigned posts.
• Respond to emergency incidents and administer basic life support (BLS) treatment.
• Perform firefighting duties including advancing hose lines and operating fire apparatus.
• Safely operate power tools and climb ladders while wearing protective gear.
• Handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.

Requirements

• EMT Certification
• Previous firefighting experience
• Valid Driver's License
• At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Current CPR/AED Certification
• Pass physical and Fit Test for SCBA
• Obtain and maintain annual Hazardous Materials Technician Certification
• Obtain and maintain annual Confined Space and Rope Rescue Certification
• Complete a background investigation and drug screen.

• Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology
• Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
• Ability to lift or carry up to 80 pounds occasionally.
