Professional Security Consultants (PSC) is seeking to fill open Security Officer positions at Boise Towne Square Mall in Boise, ID. This role is crucial for maintaining safety and security within the mall environment. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring the premises for any irregularities, such as security breaches or safety hazards, and will need to respond appropriately to emergencies by contacting the necessary emergency responders, including police, fire, and ambulance services as required. In addition to monitoring the environment, the Security Officer will be tasked with remaining vigilant for unauthorized individuals and security code violations. This may involve approaching suspicious persons and notifying law enforcement as necessary. The role also includes preparing routine reports and may require specialized security measures in complex operational areas, necessitating specific knowledge of the environment. Candidates must be available to work weekends and may be required to perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Customer service orientation and friendly demeanor are essential.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for the successful candidate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Basic knowledge of computers is required.
  • Ability to walk and climb stairs as needed.
  • Ability to see and hear accurately in both day and nighttime conditions.
  • Ability to comprehend numerous policies and respond using discretion.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and react appropriately in emergencies.
  • Knowledge of CPR and first aid (training provided if needed).
  • Familiarity with the geography of the assigned site is beneficial.
  • Skills in operating portable radio devices and phones.
