About the position

The Security Officer at Lutheran Downtown Hospital is responsible for performing routine security duties to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in health care security or law enforcement preferred.
  • Associates degree in Criminal Justice or higher is preferred or currently enrolled with completion in 2 years in lieu of experience.
  • Valid state Driver's License required.
  • CPR (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 90 days of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in security services is a plus.
